Support Our Whānau By Donating

By supporting DCM you are providing critical services to some of the most marginalised whānau in Wellington and Te Awa Kairangi (the Hutt Valley).

Though many things have changed since our forward-thinking forbears set up our organisation 56 years ago, we remain dedicated to supporting the ‘five percent of the five percent,’ people who have fallen through the cracks of other services. Your donation will provide direct support to make sure these people always have somewhere to turn for connection and practical support.

Enter your phone number in the particulars section, your name in the reference section.

If you would like a receipt, please send us an email at donate@dcm.org.nz with details for a postal address for print receipts or an email address for email receipts and we will send one out to you.

Downtown Community Ministry

Becoming a Hope Holder (the amazing people who give a regular donation to DCM) is the best way to make sure our neighbours who are rough sleeping, without shelter or at risk of homelessness receive the essential support and services they need. As well as essential, practical support, you’ll offer hope to our community.

You can set this up via automatic payment (bank details above) or by debit or credit card. Make sure to select ‘Regular Giving.’

To let us know you have set up a regular donation, or to learn more about becoming a Hope Holder please get in contact by emailing donate@dcm.org.nz.

Remember that for every $1 you donate, you may be able to claim 33.33¢ as a tax deduction at the end of the year. See Inland Revenue Tax Credit for Donations.

Giving money to people who are sleeping rough is a short-term act of kindness. Supporting social services is a long-term community solution. Thank you.
